Driving Results: From crew to leader

Utility and contractor companies are experiencing unprecedented employee retirement and turnover rates. Our in-person, custom training and on-demand, online leadership courses are created specifically for field and corporate operations in the energy industry. Unlike generic leadership materials, MEA focuses on real-life, practical skills that drive career progress-from being a crew member and individual contributor to becoming a crew lead and supervisor.

Talent Management Committee

Human Resources and Talent Management personnel are in the midst of responding to the “perfect storm” that is affecting our industry: a changing workforce, knowledge management and leadership skill gaps, a shortage of qualified applicants – particularly for key positions (skilled utility technician and engineering), and a need for enhanced workforce development models.

Purpose:

The MEA Talent Management Committee reviews and recommend programs and solutions involving talent and change management, and leadership and employee development to ensure our members’ employees are ready for the future of the energy industry.
