About Us

MEA serves the people that deliver electricity and natural gas to homes and businesses. We were founded as a trade association over 100 years ago by distribution utilities, whose vision was to improve safety and efficiency. Today, companies around the country benefit from our operations summits, learning conferences, and training events. In 2002, members collaborated to develop MEA EnergyU, a premier online training and testing system for gas and electric distribution utilities.

Our Mission

MEA furthers operational excellence in energy delivery by providing resources that continually improve members proficiency, efficiency, and safety.
