How does the MEA Leadership Academy fit into an existing leadership development system?
The leadership offerings can be a very cost effective piece of a more comprehensive system. It is intended to be an additional tool to support your other on-going leadership development learning experiences. For many companies, even some of the largest, it provides a real “kick start” system to help deal with needed leadership development that might have been on hold for a while. The HMM program is ideal as performance support for any management person. Organizational Development and HR professionals can use optional Harvard Case Studies and the included classroom materials to hold face-to-face learning opportunities.

Are the online courses a “one-shot” program?
No, for each employee you enroll, they have a full year to use and reuse the materials. They can even use course content for reference or performance support after taking the courses. Sometimes all a leader needs is a reminder of the key steps in successfully applying a management task. In future years, we will add more learning topics.

Can employees access the the online courses on our own company learning system too?
Yes, employees can either use MEA EnergyU or an MEA member company can import the materials into their own Learning Management System using a SCORM import. There may be some integration costs, but in our experience these have been incidental.

Is “credit” available for the MEA Leadership Academy?
You may be able to earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
